Dr. Sanduk Ruit is a renowned Nepali ophthalmologist and humanitarian known as the “God of Sight.” He co-founded the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology and developed low-cost cataract surgery techniques that restored vision to hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. His innovative use of affordable intraocular lenses made cataract treatment accessible to the poor. Dr. Ruit’s work has transformed eye care in developing countries, bridging social and economic gaps and giving sight—and dignity—back to the underprivileged.
